The answers:
-
Both vessels should make an immediate and
obvious turn to the right (starboard).
-
Vessel A should turn to starboard and pass
behind vessel B
-
Vessel A is a sailboat. Power always gives
way to sail so vessel B should take avoiding action so as to pass clear of
A. NB if vessel A has its sails up but is also running its engines then it
is considered a power vessel and therefore normal power on power give way
rules apply.
-
Vessel B is in the overtaking zone and so
must pass clear of vessel A.
So how did you do?
