Powerboat Instructor:
Anyone interested in qualifying as an Instructor should acquire the
Powerboat Instructors Handbook from the RYA (G19/97). This publication
explains the course and the requirements for those wishing to attend.
A Powerboat Instructor is qualified to teach Level One, Two and the
Safety Boat Course (but only if they themselves possess the
qualification).
To get the most of their course
good schools offer potential Instructors the opportunity to
spend a weekend with them whilst they run a course.
RYA
Powerboat Instructor (Advanced):
A Powerboat Instructor who possesses the requisite experience (G19/97)
and who has passed their Advanced Course can take a two day
endorsement to be able to teach the Advanced Course.
RYA Powerboat Trainer: Potential Trainers
need to be invited by the RYA to attend this course
Details of schools running these courses can be
obtained from the RYA -

| History |
| This site was
founded back in 1999 as a resource for powerboaters interested
in furthering their boat handling skills via training or simply
reading about how to handle their craft better. Since its
inception it remains the only site dedicated to powerboat
training and is ranked No1 for Powerboat Training by search
engines such as Google, Yahoo and Altavista. The site has been
reviewed by a variety of magazines and websites and its content
is regularly used by other more mainstream sites. |
