 Quiz

This section is sponsored by Powerboat Training UK - an RYA Training Centre in Poole - click here for more information on them.

There is no doubt that the best way to develop your powerboating skills is through practice and experience. A course with an experienced Instructor will enhance your understanding of why a boat handles as it does and will increase your confidence. Knowing though some of the theory will help you gain more from your course - hence these 'quizes'.

They are just for fun and you should not treat your score as indicative of either your current ability or how well you might do on a course. You might disagree with some of the answers - if you do please voice your opinion by emailing us at quiz-suggestions@powerboat-training.co.uk. (with your reasoning) - and you may well be right as some of the answers are slightly subjective.

Level 2/ICC quiz (30 questions)

Advanced Course (30 Questions) ~ coming soon

Safety Boat Quiz (30 Questions) ~ coming soon

Can you get them all right? - if you do we'd like to know - email us at quizes@powerboat-training.co.uk. Please also do email good questions for the forthcoming Advanced section (please include three questions and your answer and reasoning).  The page containing your question will contain a reference to your school or you if you wish.

We are indebted to Colin MacKinlay, a RYA Powerboat Instructor with the Sea Cadets, for providing the basic code and many of the questions  for this section.
